So, the 2011 Cocked-n-Locked Endurance Sports season is off and running(yes, pun intended). Tomorrow, Saturday April 30, we have the Austin Hell Run which is billed as "The most kick-ass mud run on Earth. Prepare for mud pit after mud pit, insane obstacle after insane obstacle..." SWEET!
The weeken
d after that, May 7, is the Shiner G.A.S.P. (Great Austin to Shiner Pedal) which is a brisk 100 mile bicycle ride from the Met Center in Austin Tx to the Spoetzl Brewery in, of course, Shiner Tx. This is a great event in support of United Way and I would do it for that reason alone but it doesn't hurt that after the ride they give you some awesome BBQ and free Shiner beer!
